As a 30-year hospitality industry veteran, Richard has served as an executive and top revenue driver. He has proven success in guest experience, entertainment, facilities, and food and beverage. Richard drives and optimizes sales and profitability through best practices, labor productivity, and strategic procurement.
Richard began his career at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island and then moved to Marriott Hotels & Resorts based in Chicago. Richard then joined Levy Restaurants-Compass Group, eventually leading the company's Sports and Entertainment efforts as Senior Vice President. As VP for Food and Beverage for Delaware North Companies, he was instrumental in the evolution and innovation of their sports & entertainment venue food programs, and helped in development of Target Field and MetLife Stadium programs. During his time at Delaware North, Richard also served as Vice President of Lodging for the hotel & resorts portfolio.
Richard served as Executive Vice President of Food & Beverage for Australia-based Event Hospitality & Entertainment, extending his expertise to the Pan Pacific's largest cinema chain, three hotel brands, and various venues and resorts. After returning to the United States, he was instrumental in the development of Denver's Union Station while leading the hospitality & entertainment district efforts of Larimer & Associates.
Richard joined Morrissey Hospitality as President in 2018. He is a strong communicator, partnering closely with executive management and shareholders to establish and articulate their vision and goals. Richard believes in promoting initiatives to further the team's mission and creates positive change, efficiencies, and enhanced guest experiences.
