Born and raised in Bucharest, Romania, Gheorghe Vatafuattended culinary school while working full-time in a professional kitchen at 14. Gheorghe trained with master chefs and competed around the world, gaining experience in many cultures and cuisines. Gheorghe became a U.S. citizen in 2006, and joined The St. Paul Grill team in 2011. Today, Gheorghe is The St. Paul Grill’s Executive Chef, passing along the Morrissey Hospitality ethos in his role.
